Gomaa Farahat (1941 - 2021) the head of the Egyptian Caricature Association passed away.
Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, mourned the cartoonist, Gomaa Farahat, head of the Egyptian Caricature Association, who passed away yesterday, Friday, September 24, at the age of 80. She said that he was one of the most prominent caricaturists in Egypt and the Arab world.
She added that he succeeded with his satirical drawings in addressing many social issues. She offered condolences to his family, friends and lovers, praying to God to bless him with his mercy.
