Mr. François Cornet d'Elzius, the Belgian Ambassador in Cairo, and artist Jalal Gomaa will inaugurate a cartoon exhibition by the Belgian artist "Luc Descheemaeker", at Beit Jalal in Abdeen Square, at five o'clock in the evening on Thursday, February 10, in the presence of a group of senior cartoonists and those interested in the art of caricature, and the general public.
The exhibition is organized by Beit Jalal, in cooperation with the Egypt Cartoon Blog, and includes 25 artworks, shedding light on many issues that the world is exposed to, including the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, social media, and other topics.
It is noteworthy that the artist "Luc Descheemaeker", is a Belgian cartoonist, born in 1955, who lives in Turhout, near Brussels, the Belgian capital.
He received more than 270 international awards, held personal caricature exhibitions in Brazil, Slovakia, Poland and Belgium, participated in hundreds of international caricature exhibitions, and was a jury member in many caricature festivals and competitions in Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Slovakia, Iran, Izmir and Turkey.
The exhibition, curated by artist Samir Abdel Ghani and artist Fawzy Morsy, will run until February 15, 2022.
