Culturvator/ Art D’Egypte is hosting the second edition of the art exhibition "Cairo International Art District” at Downtown Cairo, representing the blend of Egypt’s heritage with the contemporary art for the second year in a row, which includes a collection of individual and collective exhibitions of contemporary art as well as independent art projects.
It is held in 9 different locations across Downtown, starting from 10th of October till 30th of October 2022.
During the activation of the exhibition there are two individual exhibitions and other group exhibitions of photographs, paintings, sculptures, installations, and many other medias, with global participation from Italy, Tunisia, Spain, the Emirates, Sudan, France, the United States, and Saudi Arabia.
During the exhibition period, Art D'Egypte is organizing free lectures and workshops for students and art lovers in Founders Spaces,on 11th of October, 2022. The tour of CIAD includesof "Falaki" gallery at Tahrir Cultural Center of American University, "Cinema Radio" at Talat Harb Street, Access art Space and 5 shops at Al Nabrawi Street, and Founder Spaces at El-Shaikh Rihan Street.
"Cairo International Art District” is a diverse artistic message with a cultural and social perspective, we are proud of this distinguished collection of the exhibited artworks, Heritage is blended with contemporary art at the oldest areas of Downtown Cairo. Art D'Egypte’s aim is to support artists in all fields and to present their artworks, and the main objective is to promote Egyptian art and preserve historical sites, and to continue promoting and raising more awareness on the importance of heritage and the arts by communicating those arts to all” said by Nadine Abdel Ghaffar the Founder of Art D’Egypte & Culturvator.
"This area was chosen to showcase the second edition because it has a history that dates back to the nineteenth century and was built by the world's most famous architects," she added. and recently Downtown Cairo became one of the most main locations for arts and creativity, it has become a destination for art lovers and enthusiasts to collect artworks. The locations will be open daily to the public for free from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and then from afternoon 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM except on Sundays.
It is our first step towards to the second edition of "Forever Is Now," the international art exhibition which will take place at the Pyramids of Giza in October 27th, the first of its kind in more than 4,500 years, the exhibition is under the auspices of the Ministry of tourism & Antiquities, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and under the patronage of UNESCO."
