Photos from Inauguration of the 24th Euro-kartoenale Kruishoutem in Belgium

The organizers did receive 1776 cartoons from 543 cartoonists from 83 different countries. For the first time there were participants from Guatemala, Zambia, Tunisia and Myanmar.

 

130 works are selected for the exhibition that will be on display till the 18th of June in the European Cartoon Center. After this show a smaller selection of 60 cartoons will travel to different places and will be exhibited till the end of 2023.

 

During the Euro-kartoenale Kruishoutem exhibition there is also a focus on Egyptian cartoonists, this exhibition is curated by Fayoum Art Center and Egypt Cartoon.
