The organizers of the 4th International Cartoon Competition "Diogen of Sinop" in Turkey have officially announced the formation of the jury panel for this year’s edition, held under the theme "Environment", the contest welcomes cartoonists from around the globe in a visual call to reflect on the fate of our planet and the growing threats of pollution and environmental destruction.
👥 The jury is composed of distinguished artists and writers from Turkey and several countries, each bringing extensive experience in the fields of visual art and literature:

Eşref Baş (Turkey), writer Tufan Bilgili (Turkey), and cartoonists
Adnan Taç (Turkey), Altan Özeskici (Turkey), Aşkın Ayrancıoğlu (Turkey),
Cemal Odabaşı (Turkey), Erhan Yaşar Babalık (Turkey), Fan Lintao
(China), Leila Alaiy (Iran), Lütfü Çakın (Turkey), Marian Avramescu
(Romania) and Musa Keklik (Turkey).
📌 The jury will begin evaluating the entries after the submission deadline of May 19, 2025, the winners will be announced on June 1, and the award ceremony and exhibition will take place on June 5, coinciding with World Environment Day, in the city of Sinop, Turkey.
This year’s edition aims to spotlight the pressing environmental challenges facing the planet, relying on the power of cartoon art as a subtle yet impactful tool for raising awareness, provoking thought, and revealing the irony and tragedy of environmental issues.
