From pages to pop-ups, from reading to multi-sensory experience "Beyond Paper Plane", the internationally acclaimed Czech exhibition, opens in Cairo on July 27 at Bibliothek Egypt – Arkan Plaza, Sheikh Zayed City, in partnership with the Czech Centres and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo.
Divided into eight thematic sections, the exhibition features books as interactive art objects, blending literature, visual design, and fine art. Visitors can explore books that incorporate 3D structures, textiles, paper collages, pop-up architecture, and playful tactile elements, encouraging children and adults alike to see, touch, and imagine.
Says Tereza Svášková, Exhibition Coordinator:
"Beyond Paper Plane invites us to see the book not only as something we read, but as something we experience with all our senses. It brings together Czech artists who challenge the boundaries of children’s illustration, through texture, space, and play. We are delighted to bring this unique Czech project to Cairo and share it with new audiences".

🏛️ About the Venue
Bibliothek Egypt, founded by Amr Barakat in 2021, is a cultural hub that combines a bookstore, gallery, and café under one roof, a concept introduced to Egypt for the first time. The space celebrates the intersection of art, intellect, and community engagement.
