In a diverse and cross-border visual scene, the jury of the 14th International Cartoon Contest, held as part of the 24th International Olive Festival in Kyrenia – Cyprus 2025, has announced the results of the "Free section", which gave artists full freedom to express themselves beyond any specific topic.
This section was rich in ideas and perspectives, as artists tackled a wide range of subjects, from the modern human and life’s pressures, to political absurdity, environment, technology, and identity. Despite the diversity, all selected works adhered strictly to the contest’s rules: black and white drawings, without words, focusing on the core idea and its expressive power.
The section witnessed remarkable contributions from around the world, where artists presented their visions with refined satire, symbolic language, and compositions that distilled complex issues into simple lines.
