The Santo António dos Olivais Parish Council (JFSAO) celebrates the Patron Saint of Portugal through art and creativity.
🖼️ The International Cartoon Contest on Saint Anthony in Coimbra invites everyone (artists and non-artists) of any age to bring to life, through drawing, the figure of Saint Anthony, who received his formation in Coimbra.
1️⃣ The contest is open to the participation of all artists of all ages, professionals and amateurs.
2️⃣ Deadline for submitting your illustration: October 30, 2025.
- Entries must be uploaded to the contest page, in digital format, (300 dpi, maximum 4 MB), together with the duly completed form through this link:

3️⃣ Each artist may submit up to five (5) works and all techniques are accepted as long as the theme is Saint Anthony.
However, all works must be digitized and submitted through the contest website.
4️⃣ It is up to the contest organization to select the works that will included in the exhibition and catalog.
5️⃣ Prizes and honorable mentions will be awarded by a jury of seven members.
- Decisions will be made by majority and are final and irrevocable.
- A total of 6 prizes and 7 honorable mentions will be awarded, divided into two categories: adults and young artists.

🥇 1st Prize: 🏆 Trophy + 📜 Diploma + 💵 €1000.
🥈 2nd Prize: 🏆 Trophy + 📜 Diploma + 💵 €750.
🥉 3rd Prize: 🏆 Trophy + 📜 Diploma + 💵 €500.
🏅 7 Honorable Mentions: 🏆 Trophy + 📜 Diploma.
👦 Young Artists (up to 17 years of age on November 28, 2025):
🥇 1st Prize: Trophy + 📜 Diploma + 📚 3 comic books.
🥈 2nd Prize: Trophy + 📜 Diploma + 📚 2 comic books.
🥉 3rd Prize: Trophy + 📜 Diploma + 📚 1 comic book.
🏅 7 Honorable Mentions: 📜 Diploma only.
6️⃣ The organization will inform all selected and awarded artists. The jury may decide not to award all the prizes listed.
7️⃣ Submitting a work automatically implies the transfer of reproduction rights for non-commercial purposes. Awarded works become the property of the organization, implying the full transfer of all copyright.
8️⃣ All selected authors will receive the exhibition catalog + 📜 certificate of participation.
9️⃣ The competition awards ceremony will take place on November 28, 2025.
🔟 An exhibition of the competing works will also be inaugurated.
