🌿 In an atmosphere filled with respect for peace, tolerance, and the timeless values of Mahatma Gandhi, the International Exhibition of Gandhi Caricatures was inaugurated at the Indian Institute of Cartoonists (IIC) in Bangalore.
🎨 The exhibition was officially opened by Dr. Woode P. Krishna, President of the Karnataka Gandhi Smarak Nidhi at Gandhi Bhavan, who lit the traditional lamp to mark the beginning of this unique artistic celebration honoring the Mahatma’s spirit of non-violence and humanity.
🗣️ In his introductory speech, Mr. V. G. Narendra, Managing Trustee of the IIC, warmly acknowledged the great support provided by the Egypt Cartoon platform, which contributed 75 caricatures of Gandhi created by artists from all over the world. He expressed special appreciation for Mr. Fawzy Morsy, who meticulously gathered and curated these timeless works, symbolizing the deep artistic collaboration between Egypt and India.
🏺 The Egypt Cartoon platform continues to serve as a global cultural beacon, showcasing the power of cartoons as a universal language that bridges nations, promotes understanding, and celebrates humanity through art.
🇫🇷 In parallel with this celebration in India, the Egypt Cartoon platform also honored Gandhi’s legacy in France, organizing an international caricature exhibition in Saint-Just-le-Martel as part of the 44th International Salon of Cartoon and Press Drawing.
