🇧🇪 Cultuursmakers vzw proudly announced the winners of its 3rd International Cartoon Contest, held under the theme "Every Drop of Water Matters!".
🏛️ The competition achieved remarkable international success, attracting 1,663 cartoons from 66 countries, highlighting the global relevance of water as a vital and shared resource.
🏆 The Winners:
🥇 First Prize: Jerzy Stepniak - 🇵🇱 Poland
🥈 Second Prize: Atefeh Yariyan - 🇮🇷 Iran
🥉 Third Prize: Alessandro Gatto - 🇮🇹 Italy
🎖️ Best Flemish Cartoon: Stefaan Provijn - 🇧🇪 Belgium
🖼️ The exhibition features the works of the four award winners, alongside 26 additional selected cartoons.
📍 The exhibition is currently on display at the Library of Sint-Genesius-Rode until 21 February.
🎉 Following this, it will travel across Flanders and Brussels, visiting cultural centers, libraries, and community venues—inviting audiences to laugh, pause, and reflect.
