📰 The results of the International Press Cartoon Contest 2026 were officially announced during the Désertif’actions Summit 2026 held in Djerba, Tunisia, marking a significant international gathering of cartoonists addressing pressing environmental and humanitarian issues.
🌍 The 2026 edition witnessed strong global participation, receiving 486 artworks submitted by 272 artists from 53 countries, reflecting the growing importance of editorial cartooning as a powerful visual language capable of transcending borders and cultures.
🖼️ Following a rigorous selection process, 30 artworks were chosen for the official exhibition , presenting diverse artistic perspectives on pastoralism and pastoral peoples.
🏆 During the official ceremony held on March 27, 2026, the two main prize winners were revealed:
🥇 First Prize: Muzaffar Yulchiboev from 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan.
🥈 Second Prize: Darko Drljevic from 🇲🇪 Montenegro.
