🇨🇴 The Fundación Espiral Vital organizes the International Cartoon Salon “Peace Without Words”, in tribute to Betto – José Alberto Martínez (1968–2024), the renowned Colombian master of silent graphic humor and wordless cartoons.
✏️ By registering, participants accept all participation conditions and authorize Fundación Espiral Vital to use the submitted artworks for promotion, reproduction, and exhibition purposes. Participants also agree to the handling of personal data in accordance with Colombia’s Personal Data Protection Law 1581 of 2012.
📄 Participation Conditions:
🔹 Open to: Human cartoonists from all over the world.
🔹 Theme: Peace, from all contexts and perspectives.
🔹 Format: A4, 300 dpi, Digital files in PDF, JPG, PNG, or GIF format, maximum 3 MB.
🔹 Cartoons must be silent without words or dialogues.
🔹 Maximum of 2 artworks per participant.
🚫 AI-generated artworks are not accepted.
📅 Submission period: From May 2 to August 2, 2026.

👥 Participants must complete the registration form and upload their cartoon files through the official form only. Entries sent through other means will not be accepted.

⚖️ The submitted works will be evaluated by a jury composed of cartoonists, editors, and writers.
🏛️ Selected and awarded artists will participate in the International Cartoon Salon “Peace Without Words”, to be held from September 17 to 26, 2026, at the Gimnasio Moderno Library in Bogotá D.C., Colombia, the artworks will also be featured in the traveling exhibition “Póngale Cacumen” across different regions of the country.
🏆 Prizes:
🥇 First Prize: Publication in El Espectador – Opinion, two original artworks by renowned Colombian editorial cartoonists, and ¥5,000 (Chinese Yuan).
