🇪🇬 🇸🇰 In a remarkable artistic and cultural event, Misr Public Library will host the first-ever cartoon exhibition bringing together cartoonists from Egypt and Slovakia under the title “From Hieroglyphs to Cartoons.” The exhibition will open at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, in the presence of a distinguished group of cartoonists from both countries, celebrating the deep cultural and creative ties between Egypt and Slovakia.
🇸🇰 The exhibition features 37 artists from Egypt and Slovakia presenting around 80 cartoons, Fourteen Slovak artists will showcase nearly 56 works, including Karol Čizmazia, Jozef Grušpier, Fero Jablonovský, Ľubomír Kotrha, Vojtech Krumpolec, Vladimír Mešár, Miroslav Motyčík, Vladimír Pavlík, Bobo Pernecký, Ivan Popovič, Rado Repický, Roman Sika, Mikuláš Sliacky, and Fedor Vico.
🇪🇬 Meanwhile, 23 Egyptian artists are participating, among them Ahmed Abd El-Naeem, Ahmed Elwy, Ahmed Geassa, Amal Samir, Amna Saad, Eman Khattab, Tharwat Mortada, Khaled El-Marsafy, Khaled Salah, Khadr Hassan, Said Badawi, Samir Abd El-Ghany, Shaimaa Mahmoud, Ghada Mostafa, Farouk Mousa, Fawzy Morsy, Maher Daniel, Mostafa Salem, Mostafa El-Sheikh, Omar Sedik, Mohamed Hakem, Hadeer Yehia, and Hany Abd El-Gawwad.
🖌️ As part of the exhibition activities, a special workshop titled “The Meaning of Caricatures in Slovakia” will be held at 2:00 PM at Misr Public Library before the official opening ceremony, the workshop will offer visitors the opportunity to explore, together with Slovak artists, the hidden meanings behind caricature art and express their own critical reflections through artistic creation.
📅 The exhibition will continue for two weeks, marking an important step in the growing cultural and artistic cooperation between Egypt and Slovakia.
