🌎 The "Art on Climate" International Illustration Competition is a
collaborative initiative organised by Fingertips Company Limited and
sponsored by Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI). Our mission is to
transform complex climate strategies into powerful visual stories. By
inviting illustrators and video creators to explore the theme of climate
change, we provide a global stage for innovative ideas and real-world
solutions. Through this creative lens, we aim to inspire people to move
beyond awareness and take meaningful action in their own lives.
📝 Competition Details
Since its inception in Spain in 2019, the “Art on Climate” competition
has evolved from a regional project into a significant global movement.
Over the past seven years, it has become a powerful platform for
creators worldwide to express the urgency of environmental stewardship.
This momentum reached new heights in 2025, where the campaign saw
record-breaking engagement with over 3,500 artworks and videos submitted
by more than 2,600 illustrators across 100 different locations. As we
move forward, the competition continues to expand its reach across the
Asia-Pacific region, bringing together professional and emerging talents
to use their creative voices for climate action.
🎯 Competition Theme: Climate Change
- Participants are invited to submit original works on the theme of "Climate Change".
- Participants should draw inspiration from one or more of the following topics as a starting point of their artworks:
1. Driving the Climate Transition for Resilient Communities
Climate
change is no longer a distant risk but a call for an active global
transition. To ensure long-term stability, we must move beyond merely
identifying threats toward financing and implementing solutions that
build resilient communities. This topic explores how we can navigate the
“moment of truth” by turning climate challenges into opportunities for
sustainable growth and community strength.
2. Respecting Planetary Boundaries to Protect Biodiversity
To
maintain a stable environment, we must operate within the Earth’s
environmental limits. This topic focuses on protecting our natural
capital and reversing biodiversity loss. By respecting these planetary
boundaries, we can ensure that our transition to a low-carbon economy
does not come at the expense of our vital ecosystems, fostering a future
where nature and humanity thrive in balance.
3. Fostering Inclusive Capitalism for a Just Transition
To
deliver enduring value, sustainability must be inclusive, ensuring that
decarbonisation efforts do not come at the expense of social stability.
Inclusive capitalism seeks to balance financial returns with a “Just
Transition” – ensuring that the move toward a green economy creates fair
opportunities and social value for everyone. This topic invites
creators to visualise a world where sustainable investing supports a
society that is both environmentally sound and socially equitable.
4. Financing Innovation and Technology for Real-World Impact
Technology
and innovation act as the primary catalyst for a sustainable global
economy. By directing capital toward breakthrough environmental
solutions and digital efficiencies, we can accelerate the
decarbonisation of our world. This theme focuses on the role of
purposeful innovation in bridging the gap between our current climate
reality and a net-zero future.
5. Collective Action for a Sustainable Legacy
Achieving a
sustainable future requires more than individual effort; it demands a
unified global commitment. By aligning our investment decisions,
corporate governance, and daily actions, we can drive the systemic
change needed to protect our planet. This topic highlights the power of
collective responsibility in securing a prosperous and stable legacy for
the generations to come.
