🇲🇪 The organizers of the 33rd International Caricature Contest "Risto Pejatović" 2026 have officially announced the completion of the first stage of judging, revealing the finalists who will advance to the competition's final round.
⛏️ This year's edition was dedicated to the theme "Mining", the organizers reported an exceptional response, receiving 507 artworks submitted by 219 cartoonists representing 46 countries.
🖼️ Following an intensive evaluation process, the Expert Jury carefully reviewed every submission before selecting 47 finalists whose works will be featured in the official exhibition and published in the exhibition catalog.
👥 The judging panel consisted of 🇲🇪 Darko Drljević, who served as President of the Jury, alongside renowned caricaturist 🇲🇪 Luka Lagator and visual artist 🇲🇪 Aleksandar Ostojić. The jury emphasized the remarkably high standard of this year's submissions, making the selection process particularly challenging.
🏆 In keeping with the contest's long-standing tradition, the names of the Grand Prix winner and the recipients of the Special Awards will remain confidential until the official opening ceremony of the exhibition, where the final results will be announced before artists and guests from around the world.
