Golden Olive Humor Service Awards Announced 2026.
🫒 In line with the decision of the 25th International Olive Festival Organizing Committee, the Golden Olive Humor Service Awards 2026, which are given to people who make significant contributions to the Cyprus Humor Culture or World Cartoon Art, have been determined.
👥 In the evaluation meetings held by the members of the International Olive Humor Festival Organizing Committee consisting of Murat Şenkul (Honorary President), M. Serhan Gazioğlu, Musa Kayra, Zafer Tutkulu, Aysun Çelik, Misli Kadıoğlu and Hüseyin Çakmak, the 2026 Golden Olive Humor Service Awards The winners were determined as follows:
🏅 Dolgun Dalgıçoğlu (For His Contributions to Cypriot Turkish Cartoon Art).
🏅 Hüseyin Özel (For His Contributions to Cypriot Turkish Cartoon Art).
🏅 Mustafa Kemal Kasapoğlu (For Translating and Publishing the Humor Newspapers Akbaba and Kokonoz into Modern Turkish).
🏅 Osvaldo Maceo de Sousa (For His Articles, Research, Books, and National / International Cartoon Events on Graphic Humor for Portuguese and World Cartoon Art).
🏅 Soyalp Tamçelik (For Translating and Publishing the Humor Newspapers Akbaba and Kokonoz into Modern Turkish).
🏅 Turgut Çeviker (For His News Articles, Research, Interviews, and Books / Maagazines on Turkish and World Cartoon / Humor Art).
🏆 The 2026 Golden Olive Humor Service Awards will be presented to their recipients at the 25th International Olive Festival, which will be held in the village of Zeytinlik in October.
