🇨🇴 The 33rd CartoonRendon International Festival Colombia 2026 has announced its international call for artists, inviting cartoonists and caricaturists from around the world to participate in two distinctive themes that celebrate the performing arts and Colombian cultural heritage.
🎭 Themes:
1️⃣ Cartoon Section: THEATER
Theater is one of the oldest performing arts, consisting of the live enactment of stories before an audience. It combines acting, speech, gestures, set design, music, and sound to convey emotions and narratives. It encompasses both the dramatic literary genre and the physical building or venue where performances take place.

2️⃣ Caricature Section: Satirical Portrait of JUAN JOSÉ BOTERO RUIZ
Writer, poet, and editor from Rionegro; a pioneer of theater.
His work “Far from the nest” is part of the most distinguished body of Antioquian folkloric literature.
He contributed to the publication of various newspapers and pamphlets, in which he published literary and historical content.
📌 Entry Rules:
1️⃣ Cartoon Section: Maximum of 2 entries per artist.
2️⃣ Caricature Section: Maximum of 1 entry per artist.
📐 Format: A4 size, 300 dpi resolution, JPG/JPEG format, free technique.
📅 Deadline: November 12, 2026.

🌎 General:
• National and foreign juries.
• Artists agree to the competition rules and decisions of the jury.
• Entries that do not comply with the rules will be disqualified.
• Submitted works remain with the organizers and may be used for exhibitions or promotional purposes (web, print, media, etc.) without additional permission or compensation.
• Jury members will be honorary participants in the exhibition only (not eligible for prizes).
