As part of the preparations for the 8th edition of the International Caricature Competition organized by the International Cartoon Festival in Africa (FICA), the festival organizers have officially announced the members of the international jury who will evaluate submissions for the 2025 edition, to be held in Morocco.
The jury features a distinguished lineup of renowned cartoonists and critics from various countries and cultures, reflecting the global spirit of the competition and ensuring a diversity of perspectives and transparency in the judging process.
👥 Members of the International Jury:
Betty Sellier from France, Zohoré Gbich from Ivory Coast, Ricardo Ferreira from Portugal, Amina Al Hammadi from Arab Emirates, Makhmud Eshonkulov from Uzbekistan, Cheikh Tijan from Senegal, Fahd Bahady from Syria, Rachid Amghouz from Morocco, Ali Attab from Iraq, Faissal Hmichane from Morocco.
This edition includes two exciting themes:
1️⃣ Cartoon Section: Seas and Oceans.
2️⃣ Caricature Section: A satirical portrait of Moroccan cartoonist Bouali Mbarek.
The organizing committee confirmed that all selected works will be showcased as part of the festival, with top prizes awarded to the best entries in both sections, alongside special awards and honorary mentions.
