Şarkikaraağaç Symposium.. When a Town Becomes a Global Bridge for Peace and Art

Organized in collaboration with the Şarkikaraağaç District Governorship, Şarkikaraağaç Municipality, and International Island Country Artists, this special event aims to transform the distinguished district of Isparta – 📍Şarkikaraağaç – into an international cultural bridge through the unifying power of art. Artists from Turkey as well as from Kosovo, Iran, Denmark, Northern Cyprus, South Korea, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Dubai, Nigeria, Italy, Argentina, Bangladesh, India, Russia, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, and Kazakhstan will gather under the same sky, bringing together diverse colors, languages, and emotions.

📅 Taking place between July 26–31, 2025, this multinational event will make Şarkikaraağaç not just a geographical location, but a voice of art and peace. The region's historical, natural, and cultural richness will be interpreted through art—each brushstroke carrying the coolness of the Taurus Mountains, each musical note echoing the tranquility of its lakes.

The International Island Country Artists proudly support this project as a strong representative of national and international peace, cultural diversity, and artistic collaboration. Artists from different continents and backgrounds will contribute not only with their artworks but also with their messages of peace, shared dreams, and their child-empowering approaches, adding depth to the project.

During the symposium, the original works created by the artists will reach not only canvases but also hearts, streets, and the imaginative worlds of children. Each piece of art will be a fragment of humanity’s shared story and a lasting imprint in the cultural memory of Şarkikaraağaç. These works will be registered in the inventory of the Şarkikaraağaç Municipality, becoming a permanent cultural heritage gifted to future generations.

The event will also include special workshops for children, creative art activities, and spaces for intercultural exchange. Our children will grow with art, develop through imagination, and create original works alongside artists from various countries. This will help raise future artists, scientists, and peace ambassadors, enriching their cultural awareness.

 

This meaningful organization will nurture not only art, but also friendship, solidarity, peace, and the culture of coexistence. It will also promote Şarkikaraağaç on a national and international scale, bringing vitality to the region’s tourism, economy, and social life.
