Daily Cartoon .. Derkaoui Abdellah

🎨 Moroccan cartoonist Derkaoui Abdellah unveils a striking new caricature that carries his signature blend of satire and depth, shedding light on the timeless conflict between industry and nature.

🔥 The artwork reveals a giant furnace, like a metallic beast with its mouth wide open. A human hand pushes into it a fragment of life: 🌳 a lush forest, 🌊 a flowing river, 🦌 a gazelle on the grass, and 🕊️ birds flying across a clear sky. Yet, once this vision of life enters the furnace, it turns into fire, while thick smoke billows from the chimneys to darken the heavens.

🌱 Beyond an environmental warning, the drawing carries a broader symbolism. The hand feeding the furnace with greenery points to "greenwashing", when companies use images of nature and eco-slogans  as a glossy mask to cover harmful practices. This is where cartoon proves its power: distilling complex issues into a single sharp, unforgettable scene.

🌍 With this work, Derkaoui reminds us that art is more than humor or critique, it is a voice for the planet, a reminder that the Earth is not raw fuel for industry, but our shared home and the essence of life itself.
