Kyrenia Gears Up for the International Olive Humor Festival with Global Cartoonists
 
🫒 The village of Zeytinlik in Kyrenia is preparing to host the 14th International Cartoon Contest and the 2025 Golden Olive Humor Service Awards, taking place from October 1 to 6, with the organizing committee announcing that the exhibition boards are now ready to welcome visitors.

👨‍🎨  This year marks a special return after five years, as award-winning cartoonists from abroad will once again be invited to attend the International Humor Festival 2025, organized by Kyrenia Municipality in collaboration with the Cypriot Turkish Cartoonists Association.

🏆 Artists participating in this year’s award ceremony include: Yu Kimura from Japan, Nikola Listes from Croatia, Louisa Hedayati from Iran, Marzieh Khanizadeh Abyaneh from Iran, and Anas Lakkis from Lebanon.

🤝 Also attending are the winners of the 2024 Awards: Saeed Sadeghi from Iran, and Şadiye Balıkçıoğlu from United Kingdom, the 2025 Golden Olive Humor Service Awards will be presented to a group of Cypriot honorees: Gülşen Erçin Vaiz, İzel Seylani, Mehmet Ekin Vaiz, Selen Selışık, Serkan Sürek, and Tolgay Tarıman.

📍 With its rich program and international participation, the festival reaffirms its role as one of the leading global events celebrating humor and cartoon art, uniting artists under the symbol of the olive tree and the values of peace.
