International Maya Kamath Memorial Award Cartoon Contest 2026

🇮🇳 To mark the 75th Birth Anniversary of Maya Kamath, Indian Institute of Cartoonists is organising an International Maya Kamath Memorial Award cartoon contest.

🌺 Sponsored by the Family of Maya Kamath 🌺

 

🌍 The contest is open to all professional and amateur cartoonists of the world. Age is no bar. Participants can send a maximum of two cartoons.

🎯 SUBJECT: Gender Justice or Women’s Rights.

 

🏆 PRIZES:

🥇 1st prize: Rs 1,00,000

🥈 2nd prize: Rs 50,000

🥉 3rd prize: Rs 25,000

🏅 10 certificates of merit Rs 5,000, each.

 

📅 DEADLINE: 30th April 2026.

📢 RESULTS: By the end of May 2026.

 

📜 RULES AND REGULATIONS:

1️⃣ The entry should be a new one and not be a copy of the same sent to other contests.

2️⃣ Each entry should be accompanied by a covering letter with full name, postal address, contact number and e-mail id.

3️⃣ By entering the contest, the cartoonist represents and warrants that the work is an original one and does not infringe on the rights of any 3rd party.

4️⃣ Further, the cartoonist provides IIC, a limited, royalty free, right and licence to publish and publicly display the entries for non-commercial purposes such as publicising the contest and the awards.

5️⃣ The decision of the JURY regarding the selection of cartoons for the prizes is final.

7️⃣ ARTWORK SIZE: 800 Pixels X 1100 pixels, minimum 200 DPI resolution.

8️⃣ IMAGE FORMAT; JPEG, TIFF or Bitmap.
