Renowned Digital Caricaturist Angie Jordan Brings Smiles and Skill to Başkent University

ANKARA — On Monday, February 23, 2026, the Başkent University Galeri Sanat was transformed into a vibrant hub of art and laughter as world-renowned digital artist Angie Jordan hosted an exclusive live caricature workshop and exhibition.

Kicking off at 15:00, the gallery buzzed with energy as students, faculty, and local art enthusiasts gathered to learn from and watch the acclaimed cartoonist in action.

Jordan, celebrated internationally as a pioneer in live digital caricatures, shared her expertise with attendees. During the interactive workshop, she demonstrated her unique ability to capture a subject’s personality and essence through exaggerated, lively lines. Participants were given a firsthand look at her creative process, learning how to blend traditional caricature techniques with modern methods to create striking, humorous portraits.

 

Following the hands-on workshop, the event seamlessly transitioned into an exhibition showcasing Jordan’s dynamic artwork as well as students drawings from the workshop. The exhibition was attended by Başkent University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture Dean Prof. Dr. Hakan Turgut, Caricature Association President Metin Peker among other art enthusiasts. The displayed pieces featured her signature retro-cartoon style—highlighted by big smiles, bold colors, and an undeniable charm that perfectly mirrors her subjects. The exhibition offered a deeper look into the portfolio of an artist who has entertained crowds worldwide.

The afternoon at Galeri Sanat proved to be an inspiring experience for the Başkent University community, proving that the art of caricature is as much about capturing human connection as it is about humor and technical skill. The exhibition will be open until March 5th 2026.
