🇧🇪 The 65th edition of the Cartoon Festival in Knokke-Heist has officially started with an award show and the announcement of the laureates for the Golden Hat and Press Cartoon Belgium. For this edition, 2,160 cartoons were submitted by 545 cartoonists from 69 countries.
🎉 The exhibition runs from March 21 to May 3, 2026 📅 at CC Scharpoord in Knokke-Heist. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free to visit. The exhibition is closed on Mondays, except during the Easter holiday.
🏆 A professional jury selected the strongest entries based on graphic quality, originality, societal relevance, and the power of the image:
🥇 Golden Hat 2026 goes to Camila de la Fuente - 🇲🇽 Mexico.
🥈 Silver Hat is awarded to Raúl Zuleta - 🇨🇴 Colombia.
🥉 Bronze Hat goes to Oğuz Demir - 🇹🇷 Turkey.
🏅 The 2025 Audience Award went to Engin Selçuk - 🇹🇷 Turkey.

📰 Press Cartoon Belgium Awards Best Work from Belgian Press
🏆 Press Cartoon Belgium also awarded prizes for the strongest cartoons in the Belgian press. A jury of Flemish and French-speaking journalists chose three laureates.
🥇 The Grand Prize Knokke-Heist goes to Kamagurka for “No news, good news”.
🥈 Second Prize is awarded to Karl for a cartoon about European soft power policy.
🥉 Third Prize goes to Kroll for a powerful depiction of Afghan women in 2025.
