🎨 The Bulgarian cartoonist Valentin Georgiev has won the First Prize of Rs.1,00,000 in the International Maya Kamath memorial Award cartoon contest, the Indonesian cartoonist, Dendy Heru Hardono has won the Second Prize (Rs. 50,000) and the Third Prize (Rs.25,000) has been distributed among two cartoonists, Bahram Arjmandnia, Iran and Subhas Babu, Kerala, India.
🏅 The following 10 cartoonists have won the Merit Certificates (Rs.5000): 1. Nikolay Sviridenko, Russia; 2. Juan Gabriel Benavides, Spain; 3. Camila De la Fuente, Mexico; 4. Subhash Chandra Gowda, India; 5. Julio Carrion, Peru; 6. Xiaoquiang Hou, China; 7. Sur Ali, Turkey; 8. Aleksandr Zudin, Russia; 9. Fatih Aksular, Turkey; 10. Konstantin Kazanchev, Ukraine.
🌍 The competition witnessed remarkable international participation, with the organizing committee receiving 1080 cartoon artworks submitted by 544 artists, including 309 cartoonists from different countries around the world and 235 participants from India.
🎨 This year’s edition was held under the theme: “Gender Justice or Women’s Rights”, encouraging artists to creatively address issues related to women’s rights and gender equality through cartoon art.
