🇵🇦 The organizers of 2nd Expo Cartoon Panama 2026 invite cartoonists, illustrators, and graphic humorists from Panama and around the world to participate in this new edition dedicated to the theme: "The Panama Canal as a historical and cultural symbol".
📢 We invite you to capture, through cartoons and graphic humor, the importance of the Panama Canal as a work that has shaped history, identity, cultural diversity, and the connection between the peoples of the world.

📝 Contest Rules
• Theme: THE PANAMA CANAL as a historical and cultural symbol.
• Original works must be submitted in digital format, with the author's signature and information.
• Only digital works will be accepted. Drawings created with AI will not be accepted.
• File specifications: A4-A3 format, 300 dpi, JPEG or PNG.
• Cartoons may be in black and white or color.
📧 Entries must be submitted to the following email address: expocartoonpanama@gmail.com and must include the following information: Full name (in addition to artistic name) and country.
📅 The file name must contain the following information: Name and country. All submissions will be accepted until August 1, 2026.
🏆 One winner will be chosen and will receive $500.
• An international jury will select the works submitted to the contest, which will be exhibited on September 16 in Panama City.
• The jury's decisions are final, and participation in the contest implies acceptance of all the terms of this call for entries.
• Other conditions: The organizers reserve the right to use the works for various purposes without obligation to provide compensation.
• The works will be included in the Archive Portal and the Permanent Exhibition. The exhibition will be a traveling exhibition and will be presented in different parts of the country.
• By submitting their work, the authors accept these rules.
• Participation in this contest is voluntary and free.
• All participants must be of legal age.
• Works that do not comply with the conditions specified in these rules or that are offensive, insulting, discriminatory, or that promote racial, ethnic, or religious hatred will not be accepted into the contest.
• Each author must submit only one work in A4 format.
• By participating in the contest, each author agrees to the free transfer of the submitted works to the organizer and confirms that they are the author of said works and that their participation does not infringe on the rights of third parties.
• Submission of the work authorizes the Expo Cartoon Panama contest to use the images in exhibitions, publications, social media, and platforms or formats where the promotion of the event is required.
• The submission deadline may be modified in favor of the participants and extended without affecting these rules.
• The organizer will notify participants of any changes to the deadline.
• When evaluating the entries, the jury will consider, in particular, the artistic merit of the drawing, the accuracy in the interpretation of the theme, and its humorous aspect.
• If the organizer, co-organizer, or jury members, before or after the awarding of the prizes indicated in these rules, receive information that the work submitted to the contest constitutes plagiarism or infringes the law or the provisions of these rules, the organizer will have the right to:
- suspend the prize or its awarding until these doubts are clarified.
- decide not to award any prize in the contest.
• The winner must be the holder of the bank account into which the prize will be deposited.
✅ By participating in the contest, the participant declares that they hold all copyrights to the submitted work and that it does not infringe any personal, copyright, or third-party rights. In the event of claims related to the submitted work, the participant releases the organizer from any obligation arising therefrom, agrees to cooperate with the organizer in related litigation, and will assume the costs arising from third-party claims.
