🇵🇹 The organizers of the International Caricature Contest on Camilo Castelo Branco have officially announced the results of the competition, which attracted more than 140 caricatures from 30 countries across four continents.
🌍 The contest, organized by the Municipalities of Vila Real and Ribeira de Pena, Portugal, was held as part of the project "Camilo Por Terras do Interior", celebrating the Bicentenary of the Birth of Camilo Castelo Branco, one of Portugal’s most important literary figures.
🏆 The Winners:
🥇 First Prize: Pedro Miguel Silva Teixeira - 🇵🇹 Portugal
🥈 Second Prize: Joaquín Aldeguer López - 🇪🇸 Spain
🎭 The jury selected the winning works from a shortlist of 23 finalist caricatures, recognizing their artistic quality, originality, and creative interpretation of Camilo Castelo Branco.
🖼️ As the next stage of the project, an exhibition featuring dozens of selected entries will be organized. The exhibition will first be presented at the Teatro de Vila Real during August 2026 before moving to Espaço 360 in Ribeira de Pena in September 2026.
