🏛️ The curtain fell on the 1st International Caricature Festival – Expo Cartoon Panama 2025, held in Panama City from September 15 to 19, more than 200 works from 30 countries were submitted, with 100 selected for the official exhibition across the National University, the Electoral Court, and the City of Arts.
👩⚖️ The international jury was chaired by renowned Panamanian artist Hildebrando Sucre "Hilde", alongside María Daniela Espinoza 🇨🇷 (Costa Rica), Leonardo Arias “Don Fingo” 🇨🇴 (Colombia), Angie Mansur “Gretta Con Ganas” 🇨🇴 (Colombia), Fernando Pica 🇨🇴 (Colombia), and Luis Demetrio Calvo “Mecho” 🇨🇷 (Costa Rica). The panel praised the winning works for their strength, originality, and their ability to confront media manipulation with sharp visual narratives.
🏆 In the Cartoon Section, dedicated this year to the theme "Fake News and Distorted Truths", the jury announced the following winners:
